My name is Katherine Tan, an international student studying at Ivey Business School. I have passion for protecting the environment and helping people even before I have a clear concept of “sustainability”. During three years in high school, I volunteered in “Sunshine Nursing Home” to take care of old people with disabilities on every Sunday. Recognizing need for more support in international students’ education and daily life, I established an educational company aimed at translating English study materials to Mandarin and teaching first year freshmen in their mother tongue. I gain the sense of fulfillment and satisfaction when helping people.
