As a student pursuing a dual degree in Specialization Economics along with my HBA, I plan to have a career in Finance and Economics. Throughout my life, I have actively participated in many philanthropic activities and my view on philanthropy is utilitarianism. I believe that the future of businesses lies in sustainable practices due to the increase in awareness of prominent societal issues. I want to adventure my way through life and spread awareness on these issues and at the same time, I want to be critical about the way society operate and find ways to improve it.

Sustainability-in-Action
I have done a variety of things that are geared towards issues in environment challenges, homelessness, economic development, child empowerment and much more. In high school, I was the president of the Environmental Club and I raised awareness of sustainability issues by performing waste audits and bringing forward environmental policies. I continued with environmental initiatives when I came to Western when I joined Enviro Western and the Saugeen residence environmental team.
Aside from environmental initiatives, I had my fair share of volunteering in human and economic development. For example, I was a medical assistant in Panama, and I volunteers at soup kitchens, Goodwill centre, senior homes and Ronald McDonald House.
The last category of my involvement revolves around the work I’ve done with CSLN. The CSLN promotes service learning and helps connect students to the community. It influences students to be aware of social issues and encourage self-reflection upon these issues. One example of an CSLN activity running the biggest volunteering event on campus-Western Serves.
