This year, Ivey welcomes its largest cohort of 45 students to the HBA Sustainability Certificate.
The HBA Sustainability Certificate was launched in 2009 by Professor Oana Branzei. This 1-year program empowers students to build and lead more sustainable organizations. It includes a coordinated set of courses and experiences designed to provide a strong grounding in the principles and best practices of sustainability. The program positions students to begin their journeys as responsible C-Suite decision-makers, entrepreneurs, non-profit leaders and policymakers.
As part of the program, students will take business sustainability courses like Diane-Laure Arjaliès’ award-winning course, Assessing the Broader Impact of Business and will participate in speaker events, interactive field trips, and live cases. Each student works with a mentor throughout the year who shares their experiences working in business sustainability.
The incoming students have diverse interests spanning sustainability consulting, wildlife conservation, impact investing, sustainable fashion, renewable energy, and more. Their common denominator is their personal and professional desire to contribute to the greater good. To learn more about the students, view their full profiles here.
Program activities commence on May 25th. For more information about the Certificate or how you can get involved as a current student, alumni, or industry professional, please e-mail sustainability@ivey.ca.
