Michelina is a PhD student at the Ivey Business School. She has researched the topic of conservation finance since joining the program in 2020. Her current work sits at the intersection of systems innovation and conservation finance. Michelina’s research explores the innovation of new financial instruments aimed at channeling private capital towards nature regeneration. She has previously worked as a research assistant on the Deshkan Ziibi Conservation Impact Bond project. Her current project involves innovating financial solutions to support the transition to regenerative agriculture. In her spare time, Michelina enjoys being outdoors hiking, skiing, canoeing, and backcountry camping.
