Ivey hosted the 2nd annual Ivey Sustainability Conference on November 30 – December 1, 2017. Organizing faculty Diane-Laure Arjaliès, Tima Bansal, Oana Branzei, and Jury Gualandris shook up the traditional Ivey Research Series experience by hosting a dream list of academics in the business sustainability field to present over two days at Ivey. This year’s dream list included Rodolphe Durand (HEC Paris), Jean-Pascal Gond (Cass Business School), and Juliane Reinecke (King’s Business School).
Organizers recognize that the time is now for business schools to take the lead of the global movement towards sustainable development – development that provides for the needs of organizations and society, both today and tomorrow.
Engaged scholarship is one way that business schools can leverage their research strength to advance sustainable development. Through engaged scholarship, academics design, execute and implement findings from rigorous research that can help society address the challenges it faces.
