On Friday, February 14th, the Lab co-hosted guest speaker Quinn DuPont, Assistant Professor in the School of Business at University College Dublin. Professor DuPont studies cyber, crypto, and code. He is an expert in information ethics, cybersecurity policy, digital innovation and governance, and blockchains and cryptocurrencies. As part of the Ivey Research Series, Quinn addressed Ivey faculty on the topic of the ethics of research on blockchain. His findings suggest a new class of ethical and normative research practice in this area, comparable to fields such as bio- or nanotechnology ethics. His working paper is available online.
