The Ivey Fintech Club hosted its first ever blockchain panel, consisting of Mauricio Di Bartolomeo and Adam Reeds from Ledn, Justin John from Mavennet, and Montaek Kohli from Bicameral Ventures. Coming from a variety of perspectives in the industry but all Ivey Alumni, they provided the students with a wide assortment of knowledge ranging from their interest in blockchain and its potential use in cases. The panel explored each of their interests from Montaek’s criteria for viable blockchain investments, Justin’s understanding of a growing Startup’s talent needs, to Adam and Mauricio’s background on turning an idea into a business and a career, through their company Ledn. The panel ends with advice to the students on navigating through the uncertain periods, where they unanimously advised to continue learning and explore a wide range of career options to position themselves strongly for the future. The event was sponsored by the Scotiabank Digital Banking Lab at Ivey Business School, as part of the ongoing partnership between the Ivey FinTech Club and the Scotiabank Digital Banking Lab.
