Internship Funding Sources
Several funding programs are available to help organizations hire post-secondary students across Canada.
Mitacs Business Strategy Internship (BSI)
- The Mitacs Business Strategy Internship (BSI) helps small-medium businesses hire students for four-month full-time summer internships.

Student Work Placement Program (SWPP)
- SWPP wage subsidies are available to Canadian companies that offer full-time employment for 12-16 weeks to full-time Canadian post-secondary students through the federal Student Work Placement Program (SWPP) Find the funding organization that best matches your industry on the Employment and Social Development Canada website and apply directly on the funders' website.
International students do not qualify for Federal government funding.
Ontario Co-op Tax Credit
- MSc Business Analytics students who are completing a summer co-op that is approved by Ivey, are eligible for the Ontario Government's Co-operative education tax credit | ontario.ca
Reach out to request a tax credit letter at the end of your MSc BA intern's work term.
HBA students are not in an official co-op program and do not qualify for the Ontario tax credit.
