Nearly 100 MBA students took time out from their busy schedules for team-building, camaraderie, and some friendly competition at the Ivey Olympics Tournament on October 28.
Organized by the Ivey MBA Association (MBAA), the jam-packed day included bubble soccer, obstacle courses, and six-legged races, among other activities. It wrapped up with a trivia relay that challenged the students to think on their feet. Even some Ivey faculty joined in the fun, allowing themselves to be dunked in a dunk tank fundraiser for an upcoming Social Impact Day.
The goal of the event was to celebrate the unity, determination, and excellence of the MBA cohort, and MBA student Mishita Kodnani said it certainly delivered on that.
“Seeing our entire cohort come together, laughing and cheering in the great outdoors, was heartwarming,” said Kodnani, an MBA ’24 candidate and MBAA Vice President, Internal. “After months of careful planning, it was a delight to see the day unfold with games, healthy rivalry, and abundant memories, where even the rain couldn't dampen our spirits.”
In total, 16 MBA student teams participated in activities. Congratulations to the winning team, Team Yellow, which included Samer Balaa, Ernesto Barbery, David Grilli, Shalini Kanodia, Bethany Lin, Yesha Shah, and Grant Sparling II.
