The 53 professionals who make up the Executive MBA (EMBA) Class of 2023 are celebrating the start of their Ivey journey together as they begin their residence week.
The participants began the program with a virtual Term 1 kick-off event at Ivey’s Spencer Leadership Centre on February 13 where they were greeted by Ivey Dean Sharon Hodgson and EMBA faculty and staff. They’ll continue with classes and a variety of social events this week.
It’s the beginning of potentially lifelong friendships as the participants bond and learn from each other’s unique knowledge and experience over the next 15 months. At the welcome event, Hodgson told the participants that her own EMBA experience was a pivotal period of time in her career and she has heard the same time and time again from Ivey alumni.
“Since I joined Ivey, I’ve met with thousands of alumni. The thing I hear most often – regardless of year, cohort, or program – is that Ivey is a transformative and shared experience,” she said. “Because of this, Ivey has a stickiness to its alumni network that is second to none. Ivey is ranked as one of the most connected alumni networks in the world.”
Ivey’s new EMBA participants come from a variety of backgrounds. Here’s a look at the EMBA Class of 2023 by the numbers.
