Ivey welcomed 162 students who make up the MBA Class of 2022 at a virtual event yesterday.
During the event, the students were welcomed by Ivey Dean Sharon Hodgson and the program’s faculty and staff, and met with their learning teams.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ivey’s MBA Class of 2022 and are eager to see how these MBA students’ diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives enrich the shared learning that occurs inside and outside of the Ivey classroom,” said Associate Professor Larry Menor, MBA Program Director. “The MBA program faculty and staff team, along with Career Management, look forward to working with the incoming students to ensure that they are able to thrive academically and further their professional development throughout Ivey’s transformative MBA educational journey.”
The new MBA students have a wide range of backgrounds and some diverse interests. The class includes:
- A London Majors starting pitcher;
- A professional deejay;
- A stand-up comic;
- An internationally ranked rock climber;
- A competitive rhythmic gymnast;
- Someone who was part of a Juno Award-winning choir;
- Someone who was co-anchor of a nationally televised primetime TV show in Africa; and,
- Someone who holds a commercial pilot license.
Grounded in Leadership Essentials and Case-Method Learning, Ivey’s 12-month MBA minimizes time out of the market and gives students access to a top-ranked career management team and an extensive alumni network. Each year, it attracts high-quality candidates. Read a blog profiling five of our incoming MBA students.
