Two Ivey alumni and an Executive MBA candidate are among the inspiring innovators and visionaries named to London’s 20 under 40 Class of 2021.
The annual list of top young professionals is organized by the Twenty Under 40 Foundation, in partnership with London Inc. magazine, and celebrates Londoners who are moving the city forward. The winners will be profiled in the February issue of London Inc. and celebrated at an in-person reception early in 2022.
Here’s a look at the Ivey recipients on the list:
Louise Poole, HBA ’05
Louise Poole is Partner at Davis Martindale LLP
Louise Poole is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, and Chartered Business Valuator, and is Certified in Financial Forensics. Earlier this year, she received the Top CBV Under 40 In Memory Of David Cornfield CA, CBV, a national award recognizing distinction in the profession and/or outstanding service. The Top 20 Under 40 Award recognizes her business achievement, growth and development, industry innovation, and community involvement.
Sarah Queale, EMBA ’22 candidate
Sarah Queale is President of Synergy Tax & Business Solutions Inc.
Sarah Queale is an entrepreneur, bookkeeper, and opportunity-seeker who has spent years supporting small- and medium-sized businesses from a financial management perspective. She founded Synergy Tax & Business Solutions Inc. as a solo bookkeeper in 2008. The firm has since grown to a seven-person team of women and expanded its reach to serve clients in Toronto and Edmonton. A believer in lifelong education, Queale is currently pursuing an Executive MBA from Ivey.
Corey Shelson, MBA ’14
Corey Shelson is President of 44 North Digital Marketing
After serving with the Canadian Forces for nine years, Corey Shelson took Ivey’s MBA and launched a startup shortly after. He uses his new business skills to help companies stay afloat with his digital marketing business, 44 North Digital Marketing. In 2020, 44 North was named to Canadian Business’s Growth List for being one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Canada. Shelson remains connected to the military community as a mentor with Prince's Trust Canada, a charity that provides entrepreneurship support to veterans.
