Ivey Professor Tima Bansal recently joined other global management and sustainability leaders as an appointee to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Board. The PRME is a United Nations initiative aimed at raising the profile of sustainability in business schools around the world and supporting students with the tools they need to be agents of positive change.
Other members of the board include presidents and deans of universities and business schools, industry leaders, and representatives from international associations.

Sustainability in business schools
The Board will convene three times a year to advise the PRME initiative, help advance PRME’s vision, and implement PRME’s integrity measures. The Board is also expected to share insights into the most recent trends and best practices of corporate sustainability with their respective communities.
Bansal said business schools have a critical role to play in the initiative.
“Business schools are at a turning point, as their curriculum is coming under increasing scrutiny and the business model under greater threat. PRME is poised to help pivot business schools to contribute not just to business, but to society,” she said. “I am excited about being part of this initiative to mobilize positive change globally.”
