Larry Rosen, LLB/MBA ’82, Chairman and CEO of iconic menswear chain Harry Rosen, was among 120 new appointments to the Order of Canada, along with former prime minister of Canada Stephen Harper and award-winning filmmaker James Cameron.
The Order of Canada is one of the country’s highest civilian honours for outstanding achievement and service to society. Rosen was selected for leading and expanding Harry Rosen Inc., one of Canada’s most valuable retail brands. Rosen joined the family business in 1985 after a brief legal career and has been Chairman and CEO since 2000.
He is also a member of the Ivey Advisory Board and a generous supporter of both Ivey and Western University.
Rosen will be honoured by the Order of Canada at a ceremony in Ottawa later this year. Close to 7,500 people from all sectors of society have been invested into the Order of Canada since its creation in 1967.
