Babson by the numbers:

From comments on social media, to media coverage on the impact of the ideas presented at the four-day event, Ivey's hosting of the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference 2014 was an overwhelming success.

The Conference, held June 4-7, 2014 and hosted by the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship, is considered the world’s premier conference for entrepreneurship research and provides a dynamic venue for academics to link theory and practice.

  • The event rotates annually among top business schools throughout Europe and North America.
  • It attracts over 400 of the world's leading academics who share the latest research findings about entrepreneurship.
  • There were 235 presentations from academics from all around the world. The research to be presented at this year’s conference will touch on many of the most important and pressing issues facing entrepreneurs in the 21st century.

"It was a great honour for us at Ivey to host the Babson Conference on its first return to Canada since 1988," said Simon Parker, Director, Entrepreneurship Cross-Enterprise Leadership Centre. "The quality of papers and research presented was outstanding. It’s wonderful to see academics tackling new topics and new areas that will not only help entrepreneurs but the practitioner community and policy makers as well."
