China is no longer just a prime export base, it's rapidly becoming an ideal market in which to sell goods and services.

That's why Ivey's Asian Management Institute hosted a recent London-based instalment of the Canada China Business Council's (CCBC) cross-country China workshop. The workshop offered insights on the changing, deepening and growing business activity in China.
"The goal, most fundamentally, is to demystify where possible the issue of how do we approach the market and what sorts of things should we expect," said Beamish. "An awful lot of Canadian goods and services are actually at a point now where people in China, in large numbers, can afford them."
He cites China's consistently high annual growth levels as indicators of the opportunities for Canadian companies to expand into that part of the world and urges companies to attend such workshops to gain some basic understanding of how to enter China.
