Promoting more women into leadership positions has a significant impact on office diversity, according to the latest research from Ivey professor Alison Konrad and assistant professor Cara Maurer.
Their research paper Outcomes of Diversity and Equality Management Systems, co-authored by Rowan University’s Yang Yang, shows moving women into leadership roles helps people with disabilities, different religious groups, younger workers, and visible minorities.
“When businesses work on welcoming more women into leadership, they develop systems and processes that are also beneficial for other historically marginalized groups,” Konrad says.
