Supermarket chain Loblaw has just launched its Click and Collect program in London ON, making London shoppers among the first in Canada to experience the store’s online grocery shopping service.

Loblaws’ Click and Collect program offers shoppers the opportunity to complete their grocery shopping online and then pick up their order at the store when it’s ready for an additional service fee of $3 to $5.

Professor and Chair of Agri-Food Innovation and Regulation at Ivey David Sparling spoke with the London Free Press about the benefits that Click and Collect will bring to both customers and Loblaws employees.

“[Customers] have more control over what to buy, and impulse shopping sort of goes away,” said Sparling. “So for many consumers, that will cut their grocery bills.”
