As blockchain and cryptoassets continue to take the world by storm, new regulations are being rolled out every day. How will they affect the progress of this technology and change the landscape for investors?
This half-day conference will introduce you to blockchain, cryptoassets, and securities law regarding initial coin offerings and security token offerings, as well as tax and legal issues around these assets. You will hear from practitioners, consultants, CPAs, entrepreneurs, and lawyers working in this emerging space on the key issues and challenges.
Our keynote speaker, Alan Wunsche, MBA '91, CEO and Chief Token Officer of TokenFunder, and Chair and Co-Founder of Blockchain Canada, will provide an overview of blockchain and cryptoassets; and our panels of thought leaders, experts, and industry representatives will share insights on the current regulatory environment and what lies ahead.
You will gain an understanding of blockchain and cryptoassets and have an opportunity to ask questions about a variety of issues related to these topics.
The event is co-organized by the CPA Ontario Centre for Accounting and the Public Interest (Mitch Stein), the Scotiabank Digital Banking Lab (Michael King), and Western Law (Jennifer Farrell).
