Why did you decide to do an MBA?

Throughout my life, a strong sense of purpose has fueled ambitious aspirations for significant professional achievement. As a young girl, my passion for mathematics, sciences, and competition drove my desire to excel. Inspired by my father, a skilled financial investor, I aim to mirror his success, which is guided by his belief that the most accomplished business professionals possess both engineering and business backgrounds. This decision led me on the pursuit of an engineering degree and an MBA.

My engineering background has sharpened my strategic and analytical thinking – attributes in which I have confidence and that I value. However, I recognize my need for foundational business and financial knowledge to successfully transition into a business role. The Ivey MBA has given me the opportunity to establish the foundational business and financial knowledge I lack, while also expanding my understanding of the diverse options available within business and finance. Secondly, leveraging its renowned case-study method and robust recruitment program, the Ivey MBA is helping to facilitate the development of a valuable network that will be instrumental in achieving my dreams. What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?

I think I have learned about the strength of the Ivey network, and how supportive our cohort is and beyond that, how kind, supportive, and vast our alumni network is.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?

I think how impressive our classmates are and all the different backgrounds that we all come from.
