Why did you decide to do an MBA?

I am passionate about making an impact on the lives of others through sustainable development. As I looked to grown in my career, I felt limited by my lack of traditional business knowledge and was looking for a program that would enable me with the proper tools for success. Ivey made sense for me -- it was the right time, the right place, and a network with a reach that extends well beyond the classroom.

What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?

To never doubt yourself. I am not a 'typical' MBA candidate with a heavy quant / analytics background, but I can't let that get in the way. I've learned to have the mindset that I can solve any problem, and that I'm only as capable as I tell myself I am.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?

How well I've gotten along with the international students! I thought there might be some challenges culturally and socially, but some of my best friends in the program are international students!
