Why did you decide to do an MBA?

I pursued an MBA to gain a better understanding of business fundamentals including finance, negotiations, and corporate strategy. An MBA will help me to make more informed decisions on sustainable growth looking at it from a business perspective as opposed to an engineering approach. My goal with the MBA was to benefit the longevity of my career by allowing me to take on new roles that were outside my attainable scope.

What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?

The most significant thing I have learned at Ivey is the experiences and knowledge of my peers. Ivey does a great job putting you in teams with diverse backgrounds and experiences. These teammates have challenged me to think differently and have been a constant support in areas that I am not comfortable in.

What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?

It really works! You might be overwhelmed in the moment but when step back and look at the cases you have learned and the class discussions you have had you will be surprised on how much information and knowledge you are retaining.
