Why did you decide to do an MBA?
I am a firm believer in consilience, i.e. the interconnection of knowledge across disciplines, so I always knew I wanted to attend business school to round out the finance and analytical skills I've learned from 5 years of M&A experience.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
Two things have really stood out for me: 1) the importance of diversity of thinking and 2) the courage of sharing. Ivey's case method naturally brings these two things together during classes and I have frequently found myself thinking "oh, that's a good point!" as I learned from my fellow 2023s.
What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?
The sheer rigour of Core. I have a business background and I worked in finance but I still found Core to be a test of mental endurance. Hang in there, you will get through it.
