Why did you decide to do an MBA?
I decided to pursue an MBA because I was interested in transitioning from my current role as a frontline healthcare worker to an upper-level decision-maker within the hospital organization. I considered this route because of my existing interest in quality improvement projects and my passion for patient-centered care.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
Since coming to Ivey, I feel that my confidence has increased significantly. Upon joining the program I was very concerned that I would not be able to survive the numerous technical classes such as accounting and finance because of my science background. Through the completion of the first core of classes, I feel confident that an Ivey MBA was the right choice for me!
What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?
The most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date has been the wealth of knowledge I have acquired in less than four months. I know that the skills I have gained from completing various courses are already impacting the way I see the world.
