Why did you decide to do an MBA?
After five years in the public sector, I noticed that those who excelled had private sector and executive experience. Trusted mentors suggested an MBA as a natural path to private sector leadership, providing essential knowledge and skills.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
I discovered my true self at Ivey. Through the program I built my confidence and discovered my capabilities. I feel I can accomplish anything with enough time and effort.
What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?
I was surprised at the number of strong relationships I've cultivated with exceptional individuals. During some classes, I learn more from my classmates than from the professor.
What is your biggest professional accomplishment?
Managing Premier Ford's successful Covid-19 campaign post-first lockdown during the summer of 2020. Despite being a small team, I orchestrated high-quality tours and media appearances, rivaling the recent provincial election campaign.
What books are on your bedside table AND/OR what podcast are you listing to right now?
I am currently reading "Mushrooming Without Fear: The Beginner's Guide to Collecting Safe and Delicious Mushrooms", "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and "The Gulag Archipelago".
How do you manage stress (i.e. sports, exercise, meditation etc)?
I manage stress through exercise, specifically biking, long-distance running, and weightlifting. In fact, if I don't keep up with these habits, I find that it poorly affects all aspects in my life. Movement is key to life. I like to meditate as well, and strongly recommend Sam Harris's "Waking Up" app.

I am colour blind and can solve a Rubik's Cube in under a minute.
