Why did you decide to do an MBA?
MBA for me was an investment in my future.
I wanted to widen my horizons, learn from the global perspective of an international cohort, build a network of dynamic and talented individuals, and push my boundaries to become a well-rounded professional.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
I would say the most important skill I learned at Ivey through its case-based pedagogy is how to go beyond the checklist and apply sound judgement to business situations.
With every case, we got acquainted with a new complex context and its limited guiding information. To use insights and judgement in a way that's most beneficial to the people and organization that you're leading is a crucial managerial challenge. I believe Ivey prepared us well for that.
What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?
I've been pleasantly surprised by how everybody is invested in each other's success. Even when it was a busy week with exams or interviews, my classmates made time to set up sessions/workshops for collective learning. The Ivey network and its warmth is REAL!
I believe that this is the result of the inherent culture of community that Ivey fosters.
