Why did you decide to do an MBA?
I have been a project manager for four years and worked in the financial services industry. My previous firm is a financial technology company and my primary role was to work with our financial services clients on software implementation projects. I really enjoyed my role but decided it was time for a change, which lead me to Ivey Business School to pursue my MBA. Outside of work and school I enjoy planning social events to bring my classmates together, going hiking and skiing, & I am very passionate about my charity work - trying to combat food insecurity by volunteering at local food banks.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
I decided to do an MBA because I wanted to transition careers as well as develop my leadership skills. I knew pursuing an MBA would help me achieve my future career goals as well as help me develop as a business professional.
What's been the most surprising aspect of the Ivey MBA journey to date?
The most surprising aspect of the MBA program is how fast time is going. The program is so fast-paced that core one is done before you know it.
