Born and raised in India, I grew up in New Delhi and later moved to a small city in Haryana called Yamunanagar. Before coming to Ivey, I was an entrepreneur in wood products industry where I build three ventures from ground up. I later joined KPMG Gurgaon in its Indirect Tax practice and worked there for three years before I finally decided to pursue MBA.
Why did you decide to do an MBA?
I wanted to work with global teams and learn how big businesses work in a global setup. Ivey MBA was the perfect place to develop core skills and learn from not only the world class faculty but also the diverse set of classmates. The case method allows you to wear the hat of the decision maker and solve the most pressing business problems in a global setup.
What is the most significant thing you've learned at Ivey?
Ivey has taught me how to make decisions with very limited information. In real life, businesses need to make many decisions very quickly, and the case method allows you to think out of the box ideas to solve business problems with limited information.

It is surprising to see how quickly time has passed.

Before KPMG, I was an entrepreneur where I built three manufacturing ventures from ground up in engineered-wood manufacturing space. I am also an Indian Chartered Accountant and did my B. Com. from Delhi University.
What is the most challenging aspect of your job?
Staying updated with the vast and ever evolving regulations including rulings, amendments, industry knowledge.
What is your biggest professional accomplishment?
Building three ventures at a young age without much capital is something I consider one of my important accomplishments. I am very proud of all the food and water distribution drives I organised, serving thousands of underprivileged every year.

I am reading My Life in Full by Indra Nooyi and a podcast that I am currently listening is The Pitch.
