The positive effect of having more women in leadership positions has been well-documented. Yet fewer women attend schools of business than schools of medicine or law. Many organizations are working hard to change this. We're very excited about two new partnerships we've formed with organizations whose aim is to encourage even more women to seek positions of leadership around the world.
The first is with Lean in Canada, a community of professional women empowering one another to build purposeful and fulfilling careers. At over 2,500 members, Lean in Canada meets monthly and hosts great speakers and workshops as well as providing networking opportunities with like-minded people. Most recently, our Executive Director of Career Management and Corporate Recruiting, Sharon Irwin-Foulon, led an 80-minute workshop called Preparing to Sit at the Table: Defining Your Narrative, which addressed getting comfortable speaking about oneself in social and professional settings. We're thrilled to be working with them, and we can't wait to introduce more female candidates to this organization.
The second partnership is with Forté Foundation, a non-profit consortium of leading companies and top business schools working together to launch women into fulfilling, significant careers through access to business education, opportunities, and a community of successful women. As a business school sponsor, we are part of the Forté Fellows Program, created with the intention of increasing the number of women applying to and enrolling in MBA programs. We're very excited to be working with Forté.
If you are a woman considering returning to school to do your MBA, we encourage you to check out our Women in Business page and reach out to us. Complete a resumé assessment, attend an event, or meet with us one-on-one.
