On September 4, the Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership will host its annual Ivey HBA Leadership Day – a day dedicated to the development of our HBA1 students as leaders. The HBA class will have the opportunity to have a first-hand look at the development of good leadership and leader character from a leadership panel of notable leaders, a world-renowned keynote speaker, a case class, and a Leadership Cafe.

Leadership Panel

8:30am – 9:40am, BMO Auditorium

The panel of leaders represent a broad range of perspectives, and their message will focus on the learning that happens to good leaders throughout their lives – the experiences and influences that enable leaders to know what to do, how to act and how to lead during tumultuous and trying times. Three proven leaders will participate in the panel:

Franca Gucciardi
Chief Operating Officer, CIFAR

Jeannine Pereira, HBA '95
Director, Talent Development, EY Canada

Rashid Wasti, EMBA '03
Group Chief Leadership Officer, Landmark Group

Keynote Address: Tessa Virtue

9:55am – 10:55am, BMO Auditorium

Tessa Virtue is a celebrated Olympian and the most decorated figure skater in history.
Since retiring from skating in 2019, Tessa has earned an MBA from the Smith School of Business and a Masters of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
