Position:
The Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership at the Ivey Business School, Western University, London, Ontario, Canada, is seeking applicants for a post-doctoral research fellow position in the field of leader character. More specifically, we are interested in developing research surrounding leader character and its impact in multiple domains (e.g., Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion; team dynamics; employee well-being). The ideal applicants must already have, or be nearing completion of, their doctorate in organizational behaviour, industrial-organizational psychology, or another related field. Applicants need to provide evidence of strong research skills in both quantitative and qualitative methods, which can be demonstrated in various ways (e.g., prior research projects, doctoral work, publications, or employment experience). Applicants must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be organized, and have strong time management skills.

Major/Essential Functions:
The post-doctoral research fellow will work collaboratively with faculty and industry partners to conduct research related to understanding leader character in business leadership. Duties include writing and collaborating on scholarly papers, research reports, white papers, and conference materials. The fellow will proactively communicate research findings verbally and in writing to team members, collaborators and funders, and meaningfully contribute to the Institute’s efforts to apply, adapt and comment upon such research for the benefit of student, faculty and public audiences. Planning, conducting and contributing appropriately to scholarly conferences, panel presentations, and academic exchanges will be an important aspect of the position.
Salary Grade:
Full time, for a 2 year period. Salary to be negotiated after consideration.

(3) A representative publication or manuscript reflecting substantial authorship by the applicant, preferably one with minimal outside editing.
