Additional Information
Why Ivey?
I chose Ivey knowing that when trying to better the world, understanding business is the bridge between theory and application. Ivey would set me up to make a difference.
I've learned to view problems with an entirely different perspective. Understanding how to deconstruct an issue into its core components and tackle them piece by piece has been invaluable.
What has one highlight of your Ivey Experience been so far?
I loved Ivey's Orientation program. It was astounding how quickly a ragtag group of strangers were turned into an equally ragtag group of friends.
What advice do you have for incoming HBA students?
Understand that your classmates and the relationships you build with them are just as valuable as the content in cases. At Ivey you're surrounded by brilliance in a myriad of forms. Learn from the bright, fun people around you while you have the opportunity to do so.
How has Ivey’s Career Management set you up for success?
Ivey's Career Management was critical to my success securing a summer position at Procter & Gamble. Coming from Engineering, marketing was an entirely new field to me. Career Management set me up to market myself to recruiters with top notch results.
What was it like coming into the Ivey classroom environment?
Coming into the Ivey classroom environment was a breath of fresh air. In lecture based learning, you're often playing the role of a sponge - passively absorbing information. The Ivey classroom puts engagement first to the benefit of every student.
