Additional Information
Why Ivey?
Ivey simply provided me with the best learning experience by giving me the opportunity to participate in class discussions on topics that I am passionate about, with a tremendously diverse group of students from various academic backgrounds. I believe the Ivey classroom environment is one of the best assets of the HBA program. Every case leads to excellent discussion with insight from some of the brightest students. After a classroom discussion, you feel like you have gained a 360 degree view on the issue of focus in the case.
What has one highlight of your Ivey Experience been so far?
The highlight of my Ivey Experience was partnering with my Alumni Partner through the Partnership program. I gained invaluable insight from someone who has had an incredible 30 year career in Finance. It truly helped shape the direction of my future.
What advice do you have for incoming HBA students?
Do your best to try and identify the direction you'd like to take with your career before you start HBA1. Having an idea really helps with navigating the information sessions held by corporations in the Fall and will go a long way in helping you figure out what you want to do after graduation.
With the intense curriculum in HBA1, what support is available for students?
The HBA Association (HBAA) organizes events for HBAs while myHBA is a mental health resource and peer-to-peer support network. Take advantage of all the supports Ivey has in place for you.
