I am from Thornhill, Ontario and attended Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto.

Why did you choose Ivey’s HBA program?
I chose Ivey’s HBA program because of the comprehensive education that it provides. I was intrigued by the case study methodology, the program’s emphasis on teamwork and collaboration, and the flexibility to explore any degree in my first two years. Additionally, I was very interested in the opportunity to pursue a dual-degree in business and law.
Describe one highlight of your Ivey Experience thus far.
The highlight of my Ivey experience was being introduced to my HBA1 section of 75 peers and having the opportunity to experience HBA1 with such a talented group of individuals.
What advice do you have for incoming HBA students?
Get involved! Ivey provides so much more than just a business education; it creates a community. There is a diverse range of opportunities and you will be able to make the most of your HBA experience by participating in all that the school has to offer. Whether it be clubs and committees, section-wide initiatives, or just hanging out with some peers, seize every opportunity.
How has Ivey’s Career Management set you up for success?
I found Career Management to be most beneficial in regards to resume and cover letter writing.
What kind of support did you find the most helpful with the intense curriculum in HBA1?
The most helpful support I received during HBA1 was from my peers. HBA1 is a unique learning experience and having a supportive section and friends who understand what you are going through made the program feel less intense.
What has been the most challenging part of the program for you?
The most challenging part of the program was the adjustment to case-based learning. I was accustomed to textbook readings and multiple-choice exams, so this required me to adapt my study methods. Establishing a routine for case preparation helped mitigate this challenge early on.
What are your plans for after graduation?
Upon graduation, I will be studying for the 2019 Barrister and Solicitor Licensing Examinations and then will commence Articling at McCarthy Tétrault.
