Why Ivey?
Ivey gave me the opportunity to study Political Science in my first two years. This gave me a well-rounded perspective and allowed me to contribute more richly to business discussions. There is no other program that offers this level of flexibility. Coupled with an engaging classroom experience and a powerful alumni network, Ivey was the best choice for me.
What has one highlight of your Ivey Experience been so far?
Being an Executive Guru for Ivey's Orientation Week was a wonderful experience. It was great to help welcome a new class of HBA students.
What advice do you have for incoming HBA students?
Although it may look like everyone has it all figured out, that is rarely the case. Don't put pressure on yourself to follow the path your classmates and friends might. Figure out for yourself what you enjoy and pursue it.
How has Ivey’s Career Management set you up for success?
They provided a beneficial starting point on how to approach recruiting. It's especially helpful for those entering HBA from a non-business background.
With the intense curriculum in HBA1, what support is available for students?
It is unlike any other classroom environment I have experienced before. The combination of the case method, class room discussions, 48-hour reports and leadership events truly make this a well-rounded program. There is an ample amount of support available, including your section mates, HBA2s, teachers, myHBA, etc.
