The combination of a deep knowledge of business and another academic or professional field makes for a strong career foundation. You can apply your first two years of university study at Western to two degrees.
To complete combined degrees, study in one of the faculties listed below for your first two years (with the exception of Law). While in your first year at Ivey (HBA 1), apply for one of the combined degree programs. If admitted, you will spend your fourth and fifth years of university studying a combination of business courses and required courses in your second degree area. HBA & Arts & Humanities
The combined program is a five-year program leading to an HBA and a BA Honors in one of the Honors Specialization modules offered in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities: Art History and Criticism, Classical Studies, Comparative Literature and Culture, Creative Writing and English Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, Film Studies, French Language and Literature, French Linguistics and Literature, French Language and Linguistics, German Language and Literature, Philosophy, Spanish Language and Literature, Studio Arts, Visual Arts, Women's Studies. In Years 1 and 2, students are registered in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and follow the normal curriculum for the Honors Specialization module including Business 2257. In Year 3, students are registered in the HBA program. Students are registered in the combined program in Years 4 and 5.

HBA & Economics
The combined program is a five-year program leading to an HBA and a BA Honors Economics in one of the Honors Specialization modules offered in the Department of Economics: Economics Honors Specialization, Global Economics Honors Specialization, or Economics, Politics and Philosophy Honors Specialization. In Years 1 and 2, students are registered in the Department of Economics and follow the normal curriculum for the Honors Specialization module including Business 2257. HBA & Engineering
The combined program is a five-year program leading to an HBA and a Bachelor of Engineering Science (BESc) in Chemical, Green Process, Civil, Electrical, Software, Mechatronic Systems, Mechanical, or Integrated Engineering from Western's Faculty of Engineering. In Years 1 and 2, students are registered in the Faculty of Engineering at Western and follow the normal curriculum including Business 2257. In Year 3, students are registered in the HBA program. Students are registered in the combined program in Years 4 and 5.

HBA & Geography
The combined program is a five-year program leading to a HBA and a BA Honors Specialization in Geography (including Urban Development). In Years 1 and 2 students are registered in the Department of Geography and follow the normal curriculum for the Honors Specialization module. In Year 3, students are registered in the HBA program. Students are registered in the combined program in Years 4 and 5.

HBA & Global Studies (Huron)
The combined program is a five-year program leading to an HBA and a BA Honors Specialization module offered in the Centre for Global Studies: Global Development Studies, Global Culture Studies, or Globalization Studies. In Years 1 and 2, students are registered in Huron University College in the Faculty of Arts and Social Science and follow the normal curriculum for the Honors Specialization module including Business 2257. In Year 3, students are registered in the HBA program. Students are registered in the combined program for Years 4 and 5. Students in the combined program must meet the language requirement for graduation with an Honors Specialization module from the Centre for Global Studies.

The combined program is a five-year program leading to an HBA and a BA (Hon) in Kinesiology. In Years 1 and 2, students are registered in the School of Kinesiology and follow the normal Kinesiology (Sport Management) curriculum including Business 2257. In Year 3, students are registered in the HBA program. Students are registered in the combined program in Years 4 and 5.

HBA & Law (JD)
This combined program is a six-year program leading to an HBA and a degree of Juris Doctor (JD). Students must submit separate applications to both faculties, and be admitted to both faculties independently. After at least two years of university, individuals may apply to the HBA program. Typically, students begin with the HBA 1 year. During the HBA 1 Year (Year 3), they apply to Law School for the combined program. In Year 4, they take the first year of the Law Program. The fifth and sixth years of the Program consist of required and elective courses at both Ivey and the Faculty of Law.

The combined program is a five-year program leading to an HBA and a BA (Hon) in MIT. In Years 1 and 2, students are registered in the Faculty of Information and Media Studies and follow the MIT/HBA Combined Degree Program requirements, including Business 2257. In Year 3, students are registered in the HBA program. Students are registered in the combined program in Years 4 and 5.

The combined program is a five-year program leading to an HBA and a BMSc (Hon) in Medical Sciences. In Year 3, students are registered in the HBA program. Students are registered in the combined program in Years 4 and 5.

Sequential Degrees
Students who have been awarded a professional degree, such as the HBA degree, may be granted advance standing for a maximum of 10.0 courses toward fulfilment of graduation requirements for a 3 or 4 year Bachelor degree or a 4 year honors Bachelor degree. Students should consult the Faculty offering the second degree for course and graduation requirements.
