Merit Scholarships | Seijts HBA Leadership Character Award | Awarded to a graduating HBA student in the Ivey Business School who has demonstrated exemplary leader character throughout their program. Academic achievement will also be considered. In March of each year, the HBA Program Office at Ivey will solicit nominations from both faculty and classmates. The Ivey HBA program, in consultation with the Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership, will select the recipients.
This award was established by the Advisory Council of the Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership to recognize Gerard for his 12 years of exemplary and dedicated leadership while serving as the Institute’s Executive Director. Gerard’s impact and many contributions to the research and development of leader character is a lasting legacy for the Institute and Ivey.

Merit Scholarships | Sellery Family HBA Award | Awarded annually to a full-time student in the Honors Business Administration Program at the Ivey Business School, who is a varsity student-athlete and graduated from a public high school. Preference will be given to a Canadian citizen. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient. Merit Scholarships | Shelagh Donovan Memorial HBA Award | Awarded annually to two HBA2 students, whom each self-identify as a woman and who demonstrate a strong desire and ability to serve as coaches and mentors to their classmates, strong academic performance in the prior year, outstanding leadership qualities, a positive outlook in business and exceptional personal relationships. The HBA Scholarship Committee, with input from Ivey Faculty and members of the HBA Association, will select the recipients. The recipients will be announced at the HBA 2 "Welcome Back" event. The Committee will accept peer and self-nominations. This award was generously established in memory of the late Shelagh Donovan, HBA ’79, by her family, friends and colleagues in recognition of the exceptional interpersonal skills, dedication, initiative, compassion, inclusivity, kindness and collaboration that Shelagh demonstrated throughout her life and career and in her relationships with others. 2 @ $12,500 | $12500 |
Financial Need and Merit Awards | Spar Aerospace Limited Award In Business | Awarded to a student with a 'B' average in any year of study in the Ivey Business School (Ivey B average), who has demonstrated financial need and is an Ontario resident. The Ivey Financial Aid Office will electronically communicate the Ivey HBA in-program award applications throughout the fall-winter timeframe. Financial Need and Merit Awards | Strupat Foundation Award | Awarded annually to a full-time student in the second year of the HBA program at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement, community leadership and demonstrated financial need. The Office of the Registrar will determine financial need eligibility and the HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient. End Of Year Awards | Suzanne Curtis Awards | Awarded at the end of the HBA 1 year to a student from each section who self-identifies as a woman, and who, in the opinion of their peers, excels in activities both within and outside of the Business School. Financial Need and Merit Awards | Suzanne Curtis Memorial Award | Available to a fourth year student, who self-identifies as a woman, in Honors Business Administration on the basis of financial need and academic achievement. The Ivey Financial Aid Office will electronically communicate the Ivey HBA in-program award applications throughout the fall-winter timeframe. There is not an individual award application for this scholarship. Selection of the recipient will be made by the HBA Scholarship and Awards Committee after determination of financial need is made by the Office of the Registrar. Financial Need and Merit Awards | Sylvia D. Chrominska HBA Award | Awarded annually to students entering first year of the HBA program based on financial need and academic excellence. Preference will be given to students who self-identify as women. This award will continue in HBA2 provided the candidate successfully completes HBA1 and continues to demonstrate financial need. If a recipient does not retain the award, a new student will be selected. All applicants must indicate whether or not they plan to work in Canada, as preference will be given to those students who are planning to work in Canada upon graduation. The HBA Scholarship Committee of the Ivey Business School will review and select each award recipient once financial need has been determined by the Office of the Registrar. Entrepreneurship | Tevya Rosenberg HBA Award in Entrepreneurship | Awarded annually to a student in HBA Year 1 with Preference will be given to a student who self-identifies as a woman, and who has been accepted into the Certificate in Entrepreneurship stream. The Ivey Financial Aid Office will electronically communicate the Ivey HBA in-program award applications throughout the fall-winter timeframe. The HBA Scholarship Committee, in conjunction with the Director of Entrepreneurship, will make the final selection of the recipient. This award was established by a bequest from Tevya Rosenberg (HBA '73) and the Pierre L. Morrissette Institute for Entrepreneurship through Foundation Western. | $8000 |
Merit Scholarships | The Devine Sucharda Family HBA Scholarship | Awarded to a full-time student entering HBA1 at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement and a demonstrated interest in community leadership. This scholarship will be renewed for HBA2 provided the candidates maintain a minimum 80% average. The HBA Scholarship Committee will make the final selection of the recipient. Merit Scholarships | The Gilchrist Family Foundation HBA Award | Awarded to full-time students in HBA2 at the Ivey Business School based on academic achievement and participation in recreational athletics and/or entrepreneurial endeavors. Candidates must self-identify as belonging to any equity deserving group and have graduated from a publicly funded high school. Preference will be given to self-identified women who are interested in the financial services industry. This award was established by the Gilchrist Family Foundation to support women in sectors where they are currently underrepresented. To be considered for this award, candidates must complete an Ivey HBA in-program award application. Merit Scholarships | Thorpe Family Foundation Award in partnership with The Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled Persons | Awarded to students entering the Honours Business Administration program (HBA1) at the Ivey Business School with a self-identified disability and demonstrated academic achievement, as well as advocacy and leadership skills. This award was established with a generous gift from the Thorpe Family Foundation and the Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled Persons (CFPDP). | $2200 |
Financial Need and Merit Awards | Trudy Fahie HBA '81 Award | Awarded to full-time students entering the Honours Business Administration Program at the Ivey Business School based on financial need and community leadership. Preference will be given to candidates who self identify as Black or a racialized person of colour. Online financial assistance applications are available through Student Center and must be submitted by September 30. The HBA Scholarship Committee will select the recipients, once the Office of the Registrar has assessed the financial need.

Merit Scholarships | Walter A Thompson HBA Award | Awarded annually to an outstanding student entering the HBA program at the Richard Ivey School of Business. The HBA Scholarship Review Committee will select the award recipient. This award was established by alumni of the school as a tribute to Walter A. Thompson who, for over forty years, was a member of its faculty and contributed in so many ways to its growth and standing as an internationally recognized institution. | $2800 |
Merit Scholarships | Wellington Financial LP Award in Technology Evaluation | Awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student at the Richard Ivey School of Business, and a full-time undergraduate student in the Faculty of Engineering, who exhibit demonstrated leadership skills, and a passion for technology evaluation and analysis. Business students must submit a one-page statement outlining their skills and interest in technology evaluation and analysis by September 30th to the HBA Program Office. The Scholarship Committee of the Richard Ivey School of Business will review and select the recipient. Engineering students must submit their one-page statement and award application on-line through the Engineering Undergraduate Services website www.eng.uwo.ca/undergraduate/award_information.html) by September 30th. The Undergraduate Awards Committee in the Faculty of Engineering will review and select the recipient. This award was established by a generous gift from Wellington Financial LP.

Financial Need and Merit Awards | William L Jeffries HBA Award | Awarded on the basis of financial need to a student entering the first year of the Advanced Entry Opportunity (AEO) Program. The award will be renewed for Year Two of the AEO Program if the student maintains the defined criteria in AEO Year One. If a student does not meet the requirements, a second-year student in the AEO Program will be selected. This award will be given to students who have graduated from a high school in the City of London or Middlesex County. Eligibility will be determined by financial need, as assessed by Student Financial Services, Office of the Registrar. Merit Scholarships | William Quinn HBA Scholarship | Awarded to one student who self-identifies as a woman, and one student who self-identifies as a man, and are full-time students entering the Honors Business Administration program at the Ivey Business School, based on academic achievement and demonstrated community leadership. The award will be renewed for year two for students who have successfully completed HBA1. If a student does meet these requirements, year two student will have an opportunity to apply for this award. The HBA Scholarship Committee of the Ivey Business School will select the scholarship recipients.
