My research interests lie at the intersection of empirical corporate finance and innovation. In particular, I explore the role of returnee inventors in shaping the innovation direction of their employers, cross-border research collaboration, and the transfer of knowledge. I also study how changes in corporate managerial incentives transmit to innovation quality. In other ongoing works, I am also interested in the venture capital market, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer from universities to industry.
