Executive MBA Weekend at a Glance

The Ivey Executive MBA Program is designed to fit into your busy schedule, with four consecutive class days each month over 15 months at our learning facility in downtown Toronto. Take a look at the sample weekend schedule, which reflects a typical Ivey Executive MBA weekend for our cohorts. Or, see the 15-month class calendar.


Here’s a sample weekend EMBA schedule (Thursday through Sunday):

Thursday

7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Arrive at Ivey’s Donald K Johnson Centre in the Exchange Tower (130 King street west). Enjoy a chef prepared breakfast, coffee and networking with your peers.
8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Competing with analytics
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Lunch with your classmates
1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Winning through marketing management
5:30 p.m. – onward Some participants will go home/return to their hotel room to read business cases, while some learning teams will work together on group projects. Many participants will venture out to dinner for networking with their peers.

Friday

7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Arrive at Ivey’s Donald K Johnson Centre in the Exchange Tower (130 King street west). Enjoy a chef prepared breakfast, coffee and networking with your peers.
8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Managerial accounting and control
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Lunch with your classmates
1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Leading
5:30 p.m. – onward Some participants will go home/return to their hotel room to read business cases, while some learning teams will work together on group projects. Many participants will venture out to dinner for networking with their peers.

Saturday

7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Arrive at Ivey’s Donald K Johnson Centre in the Exchange Tower (130 King street west). Enjoy a chef prepared breakfast, coffee and networking with your peers.
8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Information systems
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Lunch with your classmates
1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Winning through marketing management
5:30 p.m. – onward me participants will go home/return to their hotel room to read business cases, while some learning teams will work together on group projects. Many participants will venture out to dinner for networking with their peers.

Sunday

7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. Arrive at Ivey’s Donald K Johnson Centre in the Exchange Tower (130 King street west). Enjoy a chef prepared breakfast, coffee and networking with your peers.
8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Leading
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Lunch with your classmates
1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Managerial accounting and control
5:30 p.m. – onward End of module. Between the weekend modules, participants dedicate approximately 25 hours a week to the program, which is spent reading business cases and preparing your notes, connecting with your learning team and working on individual assignments and group projects.
