Mr. Hawkins is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Southeast Asset Management. He has a BA from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Georgia. Since 1975, when Mason became the Chairman of Southeast Asset Management, he and his associates have made a habit of handily outperforming all relevant indices for pretty much whatever period you may want to choose.
