Matt Busbridge is the Chair of Channels, where along with five Regional Heads (representing Southwestern Ontario, the rest of Canada, the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific), he represents Ivey's global Chapter Presidents and Ambassadors on the Ivey Alumni Network (IAN) Board. A member of the IAN Board since 2014, Matt previously served as Chapter President for New York City, led the global ambassador program, and was the regional leader for Chapters in the Americas. He is a frequent speaker in student-led events, including the Ivey Student Leadership Conference, has participated in mentor-circles, and frequently meets with current Ivey students to help mentor their professional development.
With over fifteen years of experience delivering results for high-growth SaaS B2B businesses in Canada and the US, Matt has held successive sales, marketing and GM leadership positions across multiple categories (publicly-traded Fortune 100 and PE-backed), in both Public Sector and Commercial verticals of all sizes.
In his current role as Head of Commercial Sales for Amazon Business Canada, Matt defines the strategy and executes tactical plans to help Canadian businesses reinvent the way they buy B2B supplies. He currently leads a sales team across Canada, the United States and Costa-Rica.
Before this, Matt spent a decade working in New York for Amazon and McGraw-Hill Education in a number of marketing and sales leadership roles.
Matt is a graduate of Queen's University with a BAH in History and completed his MBA at Ivey in 2009, where he served as MBAA Vice-President. Originally from Montreal, Matt lives with his wife Lauren in Toronto and spends his off-time sailing, cycling, playing golf, and skiing!
