Mission: Strengthening the research and teaching capabilities at Ivey
The CPA Ontario Centre for Accounting and the Public Interest began as a way to promote accounting research and teaching relevant to management, thereby enhancing the link between the accounting profession and management pedagogy. The Centre will strengthen the research and teaching capabilities of the Managerial Accounting and Control faculty at the Ivey Business School.
The Centre arises from a desire of CPA Ontario (formerly the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario) to provide financial support to Ontario business schools, and in particular accounting departments, that generate qualified students that write the Common Final Examination (CFE) in pursuit of the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
