Shannon L. Rawski is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behaviour at the Ivey Business School. Prior to joining Ivey, she was an Assistant Professor of Management & Human Resources at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Her research centers around gender and diversity issues in organizations, with a particular focus on sexual harassment. She explores how social sexual behaviors in the workplace can escalate into legally actionable sexual harassment over time and is interested in employees' framing and interpretations of these behaviors. Additionally, she investigates the efficacy of sexual harassment and diversity training programs, studying employees' motivations to participate and the impact of training designs and technologies on training outcomes.
Dr. Rawski has published her research in several respected academic journals, including the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Organizational Behavior, the Journal of Social Issues, Human Resource Development Quarterly, and Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied. She also founded and co-organizes a Virtual Research Consortium of academics and practitioners focused on research related to sexual harassment and social sexual behavior in the workplace.
Dr. Rawski earned her Ph.D. in Management from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, where she focused on Organizational Behavior and Organizational Theory. She also holds an M.A. in Management from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a B.S. in Psychology from Bowling Green State University.
