Paul Boothe is Program Director of The Ivey Academy’s Senior Public Sector Leaders Program. His work experience includes university research and teaching, acting as an independent consultant to Canadian and international organizations, and serving as a senior public servant in provincial and federal governments. At the provincial level, he served as Saskatchewan’s Deputy Minister of Finance and Secretary to Treasury Board. At the federal level, his appointments include Associate Deputy Minister of Finance and G7 Deputy, Senior Associate Deputy Minister of Industry and, most recently, Deputy Minister of the Environment.
Paul has consulted for the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, and has worked with the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario, the Government of Alberta, the Government of Hong Kong, and China Light and Power. In December 2016, he was appointed a member of the Order of Canada.
