Greg Zaric received a B.Sc. in Actuarial Science from the University of Western Ontario, an M.ASc. in Management Science from the University of Waterloo, and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University. He is currently Academic Director of the M.Sc. in Management program at Ivey, which includes specializations in International Business and Business Analytics. He also works with masters and doctoral students at Ivey, as well as the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and the Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences at Western.
Greg’s research focuses on applying analytics techniques to questions in health policy and health economics. Some of his recent research includes economic evaluations of cancer screening and treatment programs, analysis of risk sharing contracts between pharmaceutical companies and health insurance plans, and analyzing the impact of a “step-down” ICU. He serves as an Associate Editor for Operations Research, a Senior Editor for Production and Operations Management, and I is on the Editorial Boards of Health Care Management Science and Service Science.
