Cassie Ellis is an Assistant Professor and former Postdoctoral Associate at Ivey Business School. She completed her Ph.D. in Kinesiology at Western University, for which her research focused on enhancing physical activity's pleasurable experience by manipulating music. Currently, she is studying leader character with a specific focus on character development through various methods like music, improvisation, and mindfulness. Collaborating with others, she has developed a theory that explains the interconnectedness of our anatomical systems and our ability to control our demonstrative behavior, irrespective of context. Cassie also teaches at Brescia University and the Department of Kinesiology at Western.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Cassie is a dedicated mother of two and a strong proponent of health and wellness. She conducts several group fitness classes, certifies fitness instructors through canfitpro, and coaches the local competitive swim team’s dry land program.
